What do you think about my new overalls?

Me and Elmo are really tight buddies.

Elmo sure does have googley eyes. Do I have googley eyes too?

Well, maybe just a little googley. My noes is definitely not orange but
we will both make you laugh if you tickle us.
So go ahead. Do it!

SEE HOW GOOD THAT WORKED!
IT MADE YOU LAUGH.

Happy, Happy Day

Everyone Smile Along!

SMILING is my new job!

Or, I can be just another pretty face.

Or, I can give you that really intelligent, pensive look.
I have lots of these expressions that make for good Grandmother Blog material.

My Mom just keeps snapping that camera lens.
I think I like it.

Milo At Play

Milo just fooling around. There is much pleasure in just trying to figure out what is around you and the best is when you connect...

Your whole hand to your mouth.

Life is good.

My Hand is so delicious!

Suprises Happen

In the Butler garden every August a lovely thing happens. The "Surprise Lillies" pop up all around the front flower beds. It is a special treat. While Milo visited today another surprise happened. Milo rolled over from his belly to his back. Right on my couch. Wooooo. Kelly was quick on the catch! Milo smiled. Kelly and I smiled. But now life will be different at the Kerrigans--no more staying still on the couch where you put him.

First time for Granddad and Gran To Babysit

A very full day at the Grand Parents house.

First have a bottle with Granddad and a lot of rocking to sleep.

Then some conversation and admiring those new eyelashes that have suddenly appeared.

Then a little arm and hand jive!

Then reading from Kelly's "Bumper Book". A little raggedy after 33 years. But Milo liked his first story about Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.

Then it was time to go home.
Very swell day!

***********************************************

Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod

Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod, one night sailed off in a wooden shoe;
Sailed off on a river of crystal light into a sea of dew.
"Where are you going and what do you wish?" the old moon asked the three.
"We've come to fish for the herring fish that live in this beautiful sea.
Nets of silver and gold have we," said Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.

The old moon laughed and sang a song as they rocked in the wooden shoe.
And the wind that sped them all night long ruffled the waves of dew.
Now the little stars are the herring fish that live in that beautiful sea;
"Cast your nets wherever you wish never afraid are we!"
So cried the stars to the fishermen three - Winkin', and Blinkin', and Nod.

So all night long their nets they threw to the stars in the twinkling foam.
'Til down from the skies came the wooden shoe bringing the fisherman home.
'Twas all so pretty a sail it seemed as if it could not be.
Some folks say 'twas a dream they dreamed of sailing that misty sea.
But I shall name you the fisherman three - Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.

Now Winkin' and Blinkin' are two little eyes and Nod is a little head.
And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies is a wee one's trundle bed.
So close your eyes while mother sings of the wonderful sights that be.
And you shall see those beautiful things as you sail on the misty sea,
Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three - Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.
