Tell us about it

Milo and Granddad

Milo likes sitting on Granddad's lap. He thinks the pen in his pocket is really interesting. Maybe he wants to help Granddad with the crossword puzzles.

Milo at Centennial Park March 26

The only great thing about going to Baptist for my weekly blood test is that it is a half block from Krispy Cream and about 6 blocks from Centennial Park. So off Kelly and I went to both places yesterday. Milo loved looking at the pigeons, ducks, and Canadian geese. It was warm but really breezy so he had on his great new Bunny Rabbit ears hat.

Granddad Let Me Read You A Book

Here granddad, I like this book. I will read this one to you.

Milo: Man of Many Hats

In Tennessee in the spring it will be 70 degrees one day and snowing 2 inches the next. So you have to be prepared with lots of different hats. Milo is all about the great hats.
Check out his new one an art friend of Kelly's made for him for those still cold Spring days left to come.

Milo in Gran's Backyard

March 18, 2009--a Great 70 degree day.
Time to explore the yard, pull grass and eat dirt.

This was a great day in the yard.

Oooh, a leaf, that looks like it will taste good.

Mouth full of dirt.

Drooling on the Patio Sliding Glass Door

Milo was trying to get out to the patio through the back sliding glass door to play with Granddad. When he could not get out he just made funny faces at Lew.

Judy at Barnes and Noble and Milo's with his Books

I made that long "looked-forward-to" trip to Barnes and Noble today! What fun to prop up my feet on my new scooter looking through magazines with my cinnamon flavored coffee. Kelly found lots of nifty books for Milo. My new scooter now lets me go to great shopping spots since I have difficulty walking distances. Kelly can get my go-go machine out of her car and on the sidewalk in about 3 minutes. Great aerobic exercise for her and freedom for me.

Milo loved the books we bought for him. When we got back to Gran's house he squealed over his new Yo Gabb-Gabba book.

Milo loves his books at Gran's house

One way to enjoy a book is to sit on it.

And sometimes upside down makes it even more fun.

Milo loves to be read to and and loves turning the pages of his books.

Milo and the Daffodils Are Blooming

Today Lewis picked a few daffodils for me right before a dusting of snow. Early spring is here blooming and brightening up our lives.

But the brightest flower in the garden is Milo.

Milo continues to be such a joy and a good dose of medicine for me. He will be nine months old next week. Playing, asking his cute babbling questions and wanting to walk but not yet there. Crawling in all directions makes up for that. He is eating more and more different kinds of vegetables and fruits, you know that icky pose –green mashed up stuff in the jars. Amazing how babies think that is soooo good. They just do not know how funny green peas look smeared across their face. Milo just yells at you to shovel it in faster. Paul and Kelly hand him the empty bowl for a finger-licking good finish.
